Statoil eyes Barents wells

Statoil will continue exploration drilling in the Arctic Barents Sea in 2018, even though its campaign this year was mostly disappointing, according to reports. Statoil plans to drill between 25 and 30 wells offshore Norway in 2018, of which five or six are expected in the Barents Sea. The rest will be split between the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea, which are both located further south than the Barents Sea.
