Siem ends Subsea 7 talks

Norway’s Siem Offshore has ended negotiations to sell its cable lay business to Subsea 7. Previously, Siem only said it was in talks with “an unnamed potential buyer” for its cable lay business Siem Offshore Contractors earlier this month. However, these talks have now been terminated, Siem added, while naming the potential buyer for the first time to be Subsea 7. Siem did not give a reason for halting the talks.
