Verus buys Wytch Farm stake

Premier Oil has sealed a sale and purchase agree- ment to sell its entire equity in licences PL089 and P534, which contain the Wytch Farm oil field in the UK, to Verus Petroleum SNS for US $200m. “In addition, Premier will be able to release Letters of Credit totalling around $75m, which have been issued in relation to future decommis- sioning liabilities that are now being transferred to Verus. The effective date of the sale is 1 July 2017.
