Norway Goanna disappoints

Faroe Petroleum reports that exploration well 33/9-22 S on the Goanna prospect in Production Licence 881 (PL 881) offshore Norway has failed to strike oil or gas. The Goanna well was drilled to a total depth of 2,730m (8,957ft) and encountered around 49m (161ft) of gross water-bearing reservoir in the pri- mary target, the Upper Jurassic Munin Formation sandstones. Data acquisition including logging and pressure points was carried out, Faroe said.
