Shell makes GoM Vito FID

Shell has made a Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Vito deepwater field development project in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico (GoM). The Anglo Dutch major said the break-even price is estimated to be less than US $35/bbl. The development has estimated recoverable resources of 300m boe. “This decision sets in motion the construction and fabrication of a new, simplified host design and subsea infrastructure. Vito is expected to reach peak production of approximately 100,000 boe/d, which represents a significant contribution to our continued growth in the GoM,” Shell added.
