Caspian Sea Block I-P-2 HoA

Russia’s Lukoil and Kazakhstan’s state-owned KazMunayGaz have signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) on Block I-P-2 in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea. Under the HoA, the companies will hold negotia- tions to obtain mineral rights on the block. The next stage will see the partners conclude a con- tract for hydrocarbon exploration and production and create a joint venture in charge of operations on the block.
