ExxonMobil has increased its portfolio in Argentina after a subsidiary and partner Qatar Petroleum scooped three exploration blocks in Argentina’s first offshore licensing round. Blocks MLO-113, MLO-117 and MLO-118 will add around 2.6 million net acres to ExxonMobil’s assets in Argentina, which includes the onshore Vaca Muerta unconventional oil play and a busi- ness support centre in Buenos Aires.
