Turkey's major gas discovery

Turkey has made a large gas discovery in the Black Sea, with the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hailing the find as a historic step for Turkey in terms of helping out its troubled economy and boosting its energy security. Erdogan said that exploration by Turkey's state-owned TPAO had made a discovery of 320 Bcm (11.30 Tcf) of gas in the Sakarya exploration zone – making it easily the largest find in the country's history.
