Eni strikes Mexico oil

Italy’s Eni has made an oil discovery on the Saasken prospect in Block 10 in the Sureste Basin offshore Mexico – with a cluster develop- ment a strong possivility. Preliminary estimates suggest the discovery may hold between 200m and 300m bbl of oil in place, said Eni. Saasken-1 NFW encountered 80m (262ft) of net pay of good quality oil in the Lower Pliocene and Upper Miocene sequences.
