Melbana’s Metgasco move fails

Melbana Energy has been unsuccessful with its plan to take over fellow Australian firm Metgasco. Melbana said that the offers made under the off market takeover bid for all of the ordinary shares in Metgasco closed on 31 January. Melbana received acceptances for only 27.81% of ordinary shares in Metgasco.
