Russian Exports Rise in March

Russian crude oil exports outside the former Soviet Union states continued to rise last month despite the country's move towards reducing output in line with last year's agreement between Opec and non-Opec producers (IOD Apr.4'17). Exports outside the FSU states stood at 4.83 million barrels per day (20.43 million metric tons) in March, up by 3.4% on the year. In February, the year-on-year growth stood at over 5%. However, March total exports were still up from February levels, while total exports in January through March were up by almost 4% on the previous year.
