In a further boost for the UK North Sea, Royal Dutch Shell announced Monday that it has sanctioned the Fram gas and condensate field development after deciding recently to redevelop the Penguins field in the northern North Sea (IOD Jan.16’18). At its peak, the Fram field in the central North Sea is expected to produce around 41 MMcf/d of gas and 5,300 b/d of condensate, equating to 12,400 boe/d.
