Denmark Grants Crucial Nord Stream 2 Permit

Construction of the controversial Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline could resume as soon as Aug. 3 after Denmark approved a revised construction permit allowing a Gazprom subsidiary to use different types of pipelaying vessels. The Danish Energy Agency said the revised permit allows for the use of pipelaying vessels that use anchors to keep them in position. That is in addition to the use of vessels with dynamic positioning systems, which were already permitted.
