UN peace talks to resolve Libya’s long-running civil war have restarted, holding out the chance that the oil blockade imposed since January may be lifted (IOD Jun.10’20). The UN has confirmed that both sides in the conflict are engaging in another round of peace talks. Libya’s protracted civil war pits the UN-backed government of Prime Minister Fayez Serraj against the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by renegade Gen. Khalifa Haftar.
