Aramco Reshuffles Management, Creates New Unit

Saudi Aramco has reshuffled its top management team and created a new business unit that will focus on expansion in growth markets. The company may also move to monetize some of its domestic assets. Sources familiar with the changes tell Energy Intelligence they are intended to make the company more resilient under a scenario in which oil demand remains sluggish and prices don't pick up much from current levels in the mid-$40s. The management reshuffle occurred among senior vice presidents who report directly to CEO Amin Nasser, and will take effect on Sep. 13.
