Italian utility Enel plans to invest €160 billion ($187 billion) on renewable power, infrastructure and networks, low-carbon energy and electric mobility over the next decade, according to its 2021- 23 strategic plan. Some €70 billion of total planned investment is earmarked for renewables, with installed renewable power generation capacity (including hydropower) projected to jump from around 45 gigawatts now to 60 GW by 2023 and 120 GW by 2030.
