Caucasus Conflict Rages On

The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which has left more than 100 dead since it erupted six days ago in and around the disputed region of Nagorno Karabakh, shows no signs of abating. As the fighting rages on and international calls for a cease-fire fall on deaf ears, the risk of a wider confrontation between the two regional powers, Turkey and Russia, is growing (IOD Sep.28’20).
