BHP Earmarks $1 Billion for Growth Projects

BHP on Wednesday approved spending nearly $1 billion on projects that will bring much-needed growth to its petroleum business. The board at the Anglo-Australian firm approved $696 million in funding for its 44% stake in the Atlantis Phase 3 project in the US Gulf of Mexico, which was sanctioned by operator BP last month (IOD Jan.9’19).
