Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Andrei Kobolev on Tuesday called on gas suppliers to do their share to help boost injection volumes during the spring-summer season given the “very complicated winter” facing Ukraine in 2019-20. Naftogaz wants to start the next winter heating season with 20 Bcm in storage, or about 3 Bcm-4 Bcm more than usual, because of uncertainties with Russian gas transit once the 10-year transit contract expires on Dec. 31, 2019 (IOD Jan.22’19).
