Ukraine Awaits Gazprom Proposals

Ukraine is waiting for Russia’s Gazprom to table concrete proposals on how and why the country should give up some $22 billion in aggregate arbitration claims, Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Andrei Kobolev has said. Top Russian officials, including President Vladimir Putin, are insisting that Ukraine annul all outstanding claims if the country wants to reach a new agreement on gas transit and purchases, but Kobolev said that Moscow has offered nothing in return.
