Talos Strikes Deals With BP, Exxon

Talos Energy has struck separate deals with supermajor Gulf of Mexico players BP and Exxon Mobil that give the US independent new exploration opportunities in one of its core operating areas. Talos farmed out operatorship in a prospect called Puma West in Green Canyon Block 821 and will retain a 25% interest, leaving BP with a 75% stake. BP was named operator in June, US leasing records show.
