Bulgaria Picks Depa to Break Gazprom Monopoly

Bulgaria’s state-owned Bulgargaz has selected Greece’s Depa as the first supplier of natural gas to the country to break Russia’s Gazprom monopoly on the country’s gas imports. Depa is expected to supply 1.532 TWh (145.39 MMcm) of natural gas directly to Bulgaria’s Chiren underground storage facility in the second quarter this year.
