Report: IOCs Need to Slash Production

The major international oil companies (IOCs) need to reduce their collective carbon dioxide emissions by 40% and their production of oil and gas by 35% by 2040 if the world is to stand a chance of limiting global warming to 1.6°C by the end of the century, according to the nonprofit Carbon Tracker Initiative.
