China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) said it has started building the middle section of the eastern Russia-China gas link, also known as the Power of Siberia pipeline. Geopolitical pressure from Russia has forced the Chinese state-run major to speed up work on the pipeline, or at least not delay it any further, industry insiders told Energy Intelligence.
