Egat Picks Petronas to Supply LNG

Thai power utility Egat has picked Petronas to supply two spot LNG cargoes for its first direct imports in a move that will test the country' s third-party access framework for regasification capacity. The Malaysian state supplier was chosen from among 12 participating bidders as it offered the lowest price, Egat' s deputy head of strategy, Patana Sangsriroujana, said Thursday.
