Iran’s oil exports remained minimal in August as buyers refrained from official liftings for a fourth straight month to avoid falling foul of US sanctions. Data indicates that only two tankers set sail from the Opec member state during the month. There have been no official liftings of Iranian crude since late April now and there are no signs that this will change in September, a senior Iranian oil official told Energy Intelligence.
