Royal Dutch Shell said it plans to sell its onshore assets in Egypt’s Western Desert to devote more attention to its offshore natural gas exploration. The divestment is part of Shell’s long-term strategy to shed lower-margin, mature assets and focus on those with longer-term, higher-yield potential, especially gas.
