Novatek to Hike Dividend by 74%

Privately owned Russian gas and LNG producer Novatek’s board of directors on Tuesday recommended increasing its 2018 dividends by 74% on the year, a hike fueled by the launch and early ramp-up of the 16.5 million ton/yr Yamal LNG plant. The board recommended paying 16.81 rubles per share (26c/share) in dividends for the second half of 2018. Combined with interim dividends of 9.25 rubles/share already paid for the first half of 2018, full-year dividends should total 26.06 rubles/share, up 74.3% on the year, Novatek said.
