Crude Prices Buckle Under Pressure

Oil futures slipped lower on Tuesday, under pressure from trade and macroeconomic concerns as well as the effects of sky-high costs for shipping crude. A slightly more buoyant equity market provided some support, partly offsetting the effect of a slower International Monetary Fund (IMF) growth forecast for 2019 of 3% - its lowest level since the 2008 financial crisis.
