Russia, Vietnam Extend Ties

Russia and Vietnam have decided to ex- tend their multi-decade cooperation in the oil and gas industry by extending the life of their joint venture Vietsovpetro for an- other 20 years. The agreement, that follows a 1991 deal that expires this year, was inked early this week in Hanoi by Vietnam's Minister of In- dustry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang and Russ- ian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrei Kovtun.
