Petrobras to Issue Shares in World’s Biggest Stock Offering

Petrobras plans to sell 3.75 billion shares in a public stock offering later this month that is being billed as the largest in history, possibly raising as much as $75 billion. Brazil’s state-controlled oil company said in a regulatory filing on Friday that it will offer 2.17 billion common shares and 1.58 billion preferred shares. Petrobras expects to begin bookbuilding on Friday and price the share sale on Sep. 23.
