Gassco to Run UK Terminal

Norwegian state gas pipeline operator Gassco said Wednesday that it will take over day-to-day operations of the Langeled receiving terminal, at Easington on the UK coast, from Oct. 1, 2011. In September 2009, the management committee of Gassled - the consortium of offshore operators that owns Norway's 7,800 km subsea pipeline system and associated terminals - opened the way for Gassco to run the terminal. Gassco has now terminated its technical service agreement with the UK's Centrica Storage. The two companies will cooperate on the handover
