Caltex Australia and Mitsui are among members of a consortium considering investing A$400 million (US$364 million) in a plant in southeastern Australia to produce ethanol from household rubbish and building waste. Carmaker Holden, France's Veolia and technology provider Coskata of the US are also members of the group, which has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Victoria state government to study the bioethanol project, Victoria Industry and Trade Minister Jacinta Allan said Wednesday.
