Russian Export Duties to Rise

Duties on Russian crude oil exports will rise by 5.6% in May to $284.06/ton ($38.75/bbl) from $268.90/ton ($36.68/bbl) this month, according to Alexander Sakovich, deputy head of the finance min- istry’s customs department. Calculations are based on the price of Russia’s Urals export blend from Mar. 15 to Apr. 14, which aver- aged $78.71/bbl. Duties on light oil products will rise to $203.70/ton from $193.50/ton and on heavy products to $109.70/ton from $104.20/ton.
