Natural gas storage across the European Union is above last year's levels, the European Commission said Tuesday. Brussels welcomed the European gas industry's ability to ensure continued supplies to consumers, despite exceptionally cold weather in many countries and technical snags over imports (IOD Jan.13,p8).
