Indonesia Extends Four Upstream Production Sharing Contracts

Indonesia has concluded production shar- ing contract (PSC) extensions for four up- stream blocks, most of which will boost gas supplies to local markets. The energy ministry extended the con- tracts for Block A, the South Sumatra, Madu- ra Strait and Bawean blocks following the ex- piry of the initial 20-year PSCs. “The signing of the extension contracts [shows] that [the] investment climate in Indonesia is still attractive and I believe it will [have a] positive impact for Indonesia in [the] fu- ture,” Evita Legowo, director-general of oil and gas at the energy ministry, said Friday.
