Saudi Aramco is considering investing in Vietnam’s refining sector, officials from both countries said during a landmark three-day visit to Saudi Arabia by Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet that ended Monday. At a top-level meeting of the two coun- tries’ leading oil officials, Aramco and state Petrovietnam explored investment opportu- nities, with Aramco Chief Executive Khalid al-Falih saying the Saudi oil giant has “a great interest in investing in Vietnam,” the official Saudi Press Agency said.
