Although European gas oil prices have eased back from the 26-month highs touched last week, they look set to make further gains next week. January ICE gas oil fu- tures prices were trading at around $763 in midafternoon trade on Tuesday, down from the week-earlier closing price of $772 (IOD Dec.8,p4).
