Noble Spuds Leviathan Well

The first well has been spudded at the Leviathan prospect in the Rachel license offshore Israel, partner Delek Drilling announced Monday. The US Noble-led consortium has said reserves there could reach 16 trillion cubic feet, with a 50% chance of success. Drilling for three targets — and to a final depth of 7,200 meters (including a water depth of 1,634 meters) — is expected to take approximately five months.
