Chinese state Sinopec has successfully drilled the Udele-3 exploration well in Block OML 137 off Nigeria. The firm said Thursday that the well encountered an oil zone of 45.9 meters and flowed 3,365 b/d of oil and 28.3 Mcm/d of gas. The well was spudded in April and struck two oil zones totaling 63 meters and four gas zones with total thickness of 19.2 meters.
