The US Treasury Department has tightened sanctions on one of the most active players in Iran's oil and gas sector - Khatam ul Anbia, the engineering and construction arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which has become an increasingly powerful force under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
