Korea Gas (Kogas) is close to taking a 10% stake in Santos’ Gladstone LNG (GLNG) project, according to wire reports Friday. Citing unnamed sources, the reports said Kogas is in the final stages of negotiations for the 10% stake and also for offtake of more than 2 million tons/yr of LNG from the project. The deal is expected to be announced in the second week of September as Kogas is seeking the green light from the government, according to a Reuters report.
