Chevron Sets China Gas Plan

Chevron is targeting gas output of 560 MMcf/d (15.9 MMcm/d) from its onshore Chuangdongbei gas project in Sichuan, a top official told a Beijing energy conference Tues- day. George Kirkland, who heads the US ma- jor’s global upstream and gas business, said the development will include two processing plants to handle the gas, designed to supply Beijing’s 17 million-strong population.
