Graphical abstractTwo new zinc (II) complexes (1,2) with bipyridyl and salicylate ligands have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions. Crystal structures were determined by X-ray structural analysis, complex1is 1-D coordination polymer, while2is dinuclear 0-D structure.
