Renault's tiny Alpine brand is likely to undergo significant expansion, despite the mass-market French car firm making significant cutbacks in the wake of the global pandemic. Even though Alpine sold just 4400 examples of its aluminium mid-engined A110 sports car in 2019, a leaked internal memo suggests that new Renault boss Luca de Meo wants the Alpine line-up to expand and even move into a "series of small electric cars".
