Volvo kicks off broad electrification plan: Changes in powertrain target every new model

Sweden's Volvo Cars, once famous for its diesel-powered lineup, is launching one of the industry's most ambitious plans for electrification. Volvo expects half of its global sales volume to be fully electric by 2025. Starting this year, Volvo plans to bring electrification to every newly launched model in its fleet via hybrid, plug-in hybrid or full-electric powertrains.
