US MTBE demand rebuilding after slow start to 2020

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) demand tapered since the start of the year as the strong pull from Mexico began loosening, but the demand balance is now restoring as the market shifts focus on March. Late 2019 saw strong demand for US exports into Mexico, which led to the country seemingly well supplied in early 2020. Heading into March, that demand was slowly rebuilding for US product.
