Europe styrene prices climb on higher Asia demand after China holidays

LONDON (ICIS)--Europe styrene spot prices have risen since the start of the month, on higher prices in Asia where demand has jumped after China prices surged after the National Day Golden Week holiday. Europe spot prices rose by around 14% in the past few weeks, with current month spot prices averaging at around $700/tonne or more – a level that was temporarily reached in mid-July, before falling again. Prior to that, prices were well below that level after the slump in March.
