INSIGHT: Latin American PVC markets paralysed amid quarantine measures

HOUSTON (ICIS)--As the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise and quarantine measures remain strict, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) trading weakens further. Buying activity in Latin America has virtually come to a halt. The already dilapidated regional economies are facing new challenges as domestic industries shut down or reduce operating rates while their currencies continuously weaken against the US dollar. The situation is making international trading more difficult.
