Asia naphtha touches 17-year low on crude oil rout; poor demand

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Asia naphtha prices have spiralled down to over a decade- low, pummelled by steep losses in crude oil futures as the global coronavirus pandemic heightened demand concerns that could prevail. On a CFR (cost & freight) Japan basis, open-specification naphtha prices for first-half May delivery averaged at $294/tonne at mid-day session on Monday, falling by $20.50/tonne from 13 March.
